We’re excited to release two new decision apps powered by GAMS on the Nextmv Marketplace: GAMSPy Traveling Salesman Problem and GAMS Cutstock Problem. GAMS and GAMSPy are high-level modeling systems for mathematical programming and optimization used in thousands of projects. With these prebuilt applications now available on Nextmv, users can get started by running these example models before modifying the template code and managing their custom GAMS applications with DecisionOps.
Let’s dive into what these new apps look like!
GAMS + Nextmv for DecisionOps
DecisionOps is a workflow for developing, deploying, and managing decision models efficiently and safely. Nextmv is a DecisionOps platform that accelerates, standardizes, and increases visibility of the decision model lifecycle with four layers: observability, experimentation, collaboration, and orchestration.
Observability. See the run history of your GAMS apps in the Nextmv UI.

Dive into individual runs to access run metadata, input, output, and logs.

Experimentation. Perform tests to answer “what if” questions. For instance, use scenario tests to understand how changes to your input will impact KPIs such as route duration for your GAMSPy TSP application.

Collaboration. Invite your teammates to your workspace in the Nextmv UI. Share direct links to run input, logs, and more to easily get on the same page and streamline communications with stakeholders.

Orchestration. Easily incorporate your GAMS apps into your existing infrastructure and workflows with an API. Make runs, retrieve results, create experiments, and more. You can also define decision workflows that tie into your broader technology ecosystem.
